This mission is more than a simple mission as I’m part of the founding team. My daily job is to manage the whole design process. From branding to the User experience of the mobile app
We started from the fact that a lot of people in Belgium don’t know how to sort their waste correctly. When it comes to more complex waste, information is difficult to find, that’s why we decided to help people from Belgium and the planet.
After setting up our first MVP and mockups, we decided to test our flow with users in an incubator after a short pitch.
We noticed that people tended to use mainly our buttons instead of the search-bar. That was a great revelation for us as we didn’t know which feature they were likely to use first.
Following the interview of our users, we noticed that it would be quite a challenge to gather all barcodes of every single product in the Belgian market.
So we decided to put some more effort on the search process to be able to answer most of our users requests thanks to human experts and a mini back-office mobile app
After we successfully tested my wireframes with users, it was time to put some actual design on those wireframes.
I enjoyed this UI phase as the idea was to keep the UI super minimal with a clean colors scheme to avoid confusion. The final version of Looping was a lot more user friendly and user centred than the first iteration.
One of the most complicated task for UI and UX team is to keep our design librairies and files consistent and up to date.
One of my goals is to setup a design system and keep it updated with every new components we needed.
